Goals. Met.

While part of  Joe was a little unsettled that Jane preferred other girls to boys the rest of him realized that she was his daughter and nothing about her had changed.  Well, perhaps one thing had changed.  Jane had suddenly expressed a desire to have a dog.  So Joe and Jane went down to the local animal shelter and Jane found herself a puppy.  This was how Aurora came to join the family.

Jane took care of Aurora and a bond was quickly formed between the two.

Joe’s kids were growing up fast.  Jane was a beautiful teenager and Jill had started school.  And Jason would soon be joining Jane at Lakeland Academy Prep.

With two children in high school and their youngest going all day Joe and Ericka finally achieved their career dreams.

Joe would have been lying if he didn’t admit that he was slightly worried Jason would follow a similar path to Jane and prefer the company of men.  But that did not seem to be the case with Jason.  He always had girls around him and other friends in general.  Jason was very social and always on the go.

Jane was more solitary.  She hung out mostly with Yvette although she was still close with her brother and when Yvette wasn’t around you could find Jane sitting at the chess table pondering over her next move.

Jane had also successfully raised Aurora from a puppy into an adult dog.  Joe and Ericka could not help but marvel at the affection that existed between the two.  Aurora would obey commands only from Jane and no other family member.  They were starting to get worried about what might happen when Jane left for college, which would be happening far too soon.

Jill seemed of a mold similar to Jane.  Although her solitude may have sprung from the the fact that she was the baby.  The surprise.  Much like her brother and sister Jill was exceedingly intelligent.  She was creative and enjoyed building.  She’d spend hours at the play table perfecting creations with blocks and show them off to anyone who would take a moments notice.

One Sunday Ericka had taken them to an ice skating rink.  Jill had fallen in love with cutting up the ice and had begged Joe to have one installed at home.  Joe found his youngest daughter difficult to resist so he easily gave in and had a rink built at home.  All winter long, Jill skated and skated.

Though they might all be unique and have their own perks.  When all is said and done, they are all still Shmoes and all still very close.

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous kids. I’m really quite envious. My Joseph just went for those women with more “prominent” features. :O)) I love how Jill continuously looks into the camera when you take her picture. :O)

  2. Your Joe spawn are so cute! Their mother is quite lovely, so it’s really no surprise.

  3. I agree, great looking spawn.
*shakes her head* Joe, Joe, Joe… You really need to learn to say no to your baby girl … well eventualy I suppose. He gives in to his kids’ wants easily doesnt he? *grins*

  4. Those kiddos are so adorable! This makes me miss my family. Really need to play them again.

Really love all the red hair, too!

  5. I’m glad to hear Joe was willing to accept his daughter’s sexual inclination! (Probably a lot easier to accept than it would have been with a son, I bet.) Aww, Aurora is adorable! *melts at the puppy*

The kids are growing up so nicely! 😀

Woohoo! Congrats on the double ToC’s! *cheers*

That’s cool that Jason is Mr. Social Butterfly, while Jane is more a loner, but they’re both still close.

Aurora’s an adorable adult and that’s cool that she and Jane have bonded so tightly! But I don’t blame her parents for being worried about what’ll happen when Jane heads off to college.

Jill’s adorable! I love the dark skin and flame red hair and she’s really cute with the blocks. 🙂

Too cute that Joe can’t deny his baby anything. *melts*

  6. I’m glad Joe is OK with her choices. And yay for goals met!
